09NOV07 The Gazette: The Broncos are expecting Jay Cutler to be in the starting lineup Sunday at Kansas City. Cutler, who suffered a severe bruise to his lower left leg last week against the Detroit Lions, had his leg padded Wednesday at practice, but he took most of the snaps with the first-team offense. Following practice, Broncos coach Mike Shanahan said unless Cutler has a setback in the injury, he should play. "I feel all right," Cutler said before practice. "I feel better. We're going to take it day by day."

08NOV07 ESPN : Broncos QB Jay Cutler seems less worried about his badly bruised left leg than he does the state of the Broncos. The second-year quarterback practiced through the pain Wednesday. Cutler feared his season was over and his leg broken Sunday when Lions DE Cory Redding speared him with his helmet. "To get the MRI back and to see that it was just a deep bruise and nothing was cracked or anything, it was a relief," Cutler said. "I mean, it's a bruise. I can go ahead and push it and if it hurts, it hurts, but it's not going to get any worse. "Cutler took most of the snaps at practice and moved around well, Shanahan said. "He looked good," Shanahan said. "Unless there's a setback, he should be ready to go."

08NOV07 Denver Post : Broncos HC Shanahan said barring setback, QB Cutler. Afterward practice yesterday, HC was confident that his second- year quarterback would be available for Sunday's game. "He did well. He practiced most of the practice," HC Shanahan said. "Unless there's a setback, he should be ready to go. "I'm not sure how much it hurt," Shanahan added, "but he was productive out there. He took his normal (repetitions) - maybe a few less (than usual)."

06NOV07 ESPN : Broncos QB Jay Cutler doesn't have the hairline fracture in his left leg he feared. An MRI on Monday was negative, but HC Shanahan said he didn't know if Cutler would practice much this week or be under center Sunday at Kansas City. "He doesn't have a stress fracture, which is a positive," Shanahan said. "The X-rays were negative, the MRI was negative. So, we'll see how sore he is. Right now he's quite sore. And we'll get a chance to see how he feels on Wednesday."

05NOV07 Denverbroncos.com on Jay Cutler: The MRI on QB Cutler's leg was negative, revealing no stress fracture of the fibula. Shanahan said that he is "a little sore," and that he would see what the quarterback can do at Wednesday's practice. "Right now he's quite sore, and we'll see how he feels on Wednesday."

05NOV07 Denver Post on Jay Cutler: Broncos QB Cutler, the Broncos' second- year QB, suffered a painful bruise on his lower left fibula as he was sacked early in the second quarter. Cutler was carted off the field and taken immediately to the X-ray room, where the initial tests revealed no break. However, he said he was "nervous" about what an MRI might reveal today. "There might be a hairline (fracture) in there," Cutler said.
